Andrea Sandoval is a first-year medical student at UCSF with interests in internal medicine, health equity, and community engagement. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health from UC Berkeley in 2023, and went on to work as a genetics researcher and EMT before beginning medical school.

At UCSF, Andrea is involved in research on health disparities in heart disease, serves on the board of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), and works as a peer tutor. Outside of medicine, she enjoys long-distance running and exploring local food spots.
